Publishing Talk is once more delighted to be organizing the official London Book Fair Tweetup! Come and mix and mingle with the publishing Twitterati. And if you can’t join us live, follow the action with the Twitter hashtag #lbt11.

Your fellow Twitter-obsessed publishers, authors, agents and other bookish folk will be gathering on on Tuesday 12th April at:

  • 5.00pm – 6.30pm: The bar in the Children’s Area inside the Earls Court exhibition centre
  • 6.30pm onwards: Afterparty upstairs at a the Prince of Teck pub, 161 Earls Court Road, London SW5 9RQ

For those coming from the Book Fair, this is just around the corner from the Earls Court exhibition centre. For those coming from elsewhere, it is literally across the road from Earls Court tube station – so no excuses for not joining in!

The capacity in the Prince of Teck function room is 85, though any extras can overspill downstairs. They also do delicious food, and have wi-fi so you can carry on tweeting, blogging and fiddling with your Kindles and iPads.

This is a great opportunity to meet fellow book tweeps in real life, and connect with like-minded folk over a glass or several. The perfect way to unwind after a hard day’s Book Fairing.

Don’t worry if you’ve never been to a tweetup before – it’s a very friendly crowd: just pitch up and say ‘hello’. We’ll have name badges to help you identify people by their Twitter usernames; and if you’re new to Twitter and trying to work out your hashtags, @mentions and DMs, there will be plenty of copies of our new Twitter Cheat Sheet to help you get started.

Look forward to seeing you there!
